Jean-Michel Jarre incluye a Edward Snowden en su nuevo disco

Jean-Michel Jarré recently announced Electrónica Vol.2: El corazón del ruido, the sequel to Electrónica Vol.1: La máquina del tiempo, which we discussed a few months ago.

It will be released on May 6th and is already available for digital pre-order. El corazón del ruido is the second volume of electronica, a collaborative album that had to be split into two volumes due to the large amount of material. In El corazón del ruido, Jean-Michel Jarre collaborated with renowned artists like Pet Shop Boys, Julia Holter, Primal Scream, Jeff Mills, Peaches, Sebastian Tellier, and Cyndi Lauper, among others, and now includes Eduardo Snowden.

The French artist shared his thoughts on this collaboration: “I composed a dizzying techno track that evokes the chaotic creation of data and the obsessive quest for information. One of the recurring themes in both volumes of ‘Electronica’ is the ambiguous relationship we have with technology. On one hand, we carry the world in our pockets, while on the other, the world is spying on us constantly. Snowden has become a hero, not for saying ‘don’t do this,’ but for warning about the misuse of technology. The future needs brave people like him.”

Jean-Michel Jarré will perform at Sonar.
